The colony Gates have been a major topic discussed in various groups whether the gates on the periphery of the colony should be opened or closed.
On one hand, some residents want the gates to be closed and make the colony a gated colony for security and traffic management movement.
While some especially living on the periphery of the colony want gates to be opened as closing gates leaves them abandoned outside and have to drive a long way to enter the colony towards the market and other areas.
Our colony cannot be a gated colony as it porous and of a mixed nature which both commercial and residential also it houses schools hospitals and also a thoroughfare for passing traffic.
Gates can only be closed at night which helps in making the colony into a quadrant and is beneficial for security management, preventing car thefts. This debate will always be on existence until the RWA with local bodies devise a better plan for security and traffic.
