The RWA sector 39 on March, 26, 2023 organised a programme for distribution of gas fuelled irons and two gas cylinders to all dhobis of the sector. The irons and cylinders were sponsored by Sunil Chaturvedi who has also been conferred with the” Sector Ratan” award.
The event was graced by Member of Parliament from Gautambuddh Nagar, Dr Mahesh Sharma. The RWA president Ashok Khanna welcomed and felicitated the guest of honour. The RWA general secretary T.S Arora informed that the RWA had earlier given modern M S tables to all dhobis of the sector and now they are being given gas based irons with two gas cylinders to avoid the pollution caused by burning of coal and also the high electricity costs incurred by dhobis in case of electric irons. The other guests that attended the programme included Yogendra sharma (president FONRWA ), Pramod Verma (president sector 30 ), Kallu singh (mandal president), RWA vice president Rahul Nayyar, Brijesh Goel, Sandeep Malhotra, Shami Arora, P.P Sabharwal, Sanjay goel, Pavan Agarwal, Dr Leena Chauhan, Gunjan Bhatia, Renu Nayyar and Anjana Vij.
A Bhandara was also organised by the RWA to celebrate Navratri and food was served to one and all coming to the stall.
