Parsvnath Prestige (PP) community had a good bonding time during the cultural events held during special occasions. The period between Navratri till Kartik Purnima sees many festive occasions and we celebrated each to our best.
Dandiya Night: On the auspicious day of Navratri Navmi, 23 October, Dandiya Night was celebrated in PP with a mega set-up in the amphitheater with DJ, dance floor and lots of food stalls. Trampoline and air house was set up for children to play and have fun.
The event started with a solo performance from Preeti Tyagi followed by a breathtaking 8.5 min continuous Garba and Dandiya dance by Attrangi and Dazzling Butterfly’s Troupe. This was followed by another sizzling performance by Jhankar Troupe. Last but not the least, a mega Garba-cum-Dandiya was performed by 22 gorgeous and beautiful ladies dressed in traditional outfits, who rocked the floor on the tunes of folk and bollywood music which lasted for about 10 min.
It was an awesome fun and festive event that brought and connected a lot of people together.
Dussehra: The victory of good over evil, and the power of truth and righteousness, Dussehra, was celebrated on 24 October in the bus-stop area near the main entry and exit gate. Following events were organised by the Cultural Team:
Event started with Shri Ganesh Vandana, a solo dance performance by our little Priyadarshani; followed by Skit Performance by our resident kids – Spot the Ravan (evil) around and provide a possible Solution (Ram) which was nicely executed by: Ayra, Shreya, Priyadarshini, Naysa Shrivastava, Navansh, Arjun, Aadhya and Idhika.
In Fancy Dress all kids dressed in Ramleela characters were looking charming. Each had to describe their character in 2 lines with key dialogue of their role. Participants were: Dharitri Gupta, Abhinya, Navansh, Arjun, Aadhya, Idhika, Rian, Navya, Neel, Navam Jain, Ahana Sharma and Vinayak Attri.
A musical Ramleela was executed by children. Each was given a role and the kids acted to their best on the voiceover. It was an awesome and enjoyable performance by kids. The cast was: Raja Dasharath – Navansh, Rani Keikey – Raina, Rani Sumitra – Dhyani, Rani Kaushaliya – Aadhya, Shir Ram – Navam Jain, Sita – Navya, Bharat – Vinayak, Laxman – Rian, Hanuman – Viyan, Hanuman Sena – Neil, Marich – Idhika, Raavan – Anusha, Mandodri – Dharitri.
Event culminated with the children dressed as Ram, Sita and Laxman going to Ravan effigy to light it.

Karva Chauth: On 01 November, Karva Chauth was organised near the Club area where all ladies gathered together and had lots of fun with many games. Multiple points were decorated as selfie points for them to click selfies as per their choices.
Diwali Mela: Organised on 05 November by an events group, delicious food stalls were put up with many other vendors selling items for Diwali. Many Prestige Residents had also put up stalls. There were Live Band performances as well. Apart from the above there were 2 dance performances by PP ladies.
Govardhan Puja: On13 November Govardhan Puja and Annakoot Mahotsav was celebrated for the first time in PP. It was a grand celebration where ladies made the effigy of Shri Krishna on the foor. Later on, puja was conducted by Panditji and our society President, Deepak Mangal, and his better half, Rinku Mangal. The puja was followed by Annakoot Prasad, which all the residents relished.
WC Screening: On 19 November, the World Cup was screened in the Amphitheater from 2 pm till the end. Multiple food stalls were put up and a cricket selfie booth to attract the audience. All children, young and old, together saw the match with Indian flag tattoo on their faces. Though India did not win, but we all had lots of fun together enjoying moments of sixes, fours and outs.
Tulsi Vivah: PP ladies arranged a marriage ceremony of Tulsi Mata with Shaligram on 23 November. Tulasi Vivah signifies the end of the monsoon and the beginning of the wedding season in the Hindu calendar.
Deepotsav: On 27 November, the auspicious day of Kartik Purnima, all residents gathered and lit 365 diya in front of the society mandir. It was really an awesome and divine feeling.
