26 January is observed and celebrated as Republic Day across India. We, the citizens of India and Lotus Boulevard, celebrated the day in all its glory and dignity.
The celebration started early on the cold winter morning with chilling winds blowing through our hair. This did not deter people from attending the celebration in large numbers to show respect to our nation.
The celebration started with a marchpast done by the security guards and flag hoisting by the President of the Current AOA. The event was well hosted by the senior leaders of the AOA – JP Singh & Dharamveer Yadav.
While our Indian flag waved in the air, held high by the guards, sweets were distributed to all the attendees. -The Boulevard children – Aaradhya, Aahana, Anika, Kamakhya, Kashvi, Kuhu, Raiene, Reva, Rishika, Manya & many more – embellished the function with their dances, including one dedicated to our national bird, peacock, showing its formation in full glory.
Young guitarist Pranika played fabulous patriotic music in the ceremony spreading a melodious vibe. The whole celebration thawed our hearts with patriotic warmth – much needed in the chilled January, making it a perfect morning.
