On September 19, ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’ was celebrated countrywide. On the auspicious occasion, residents of AGV-1, organised a ten days celebration and ‘Ganesh Vandana ‘in the society premise.
Ladies Bhajan mandali group had taken the entire initiative for performing puja and observing all rituals very dedicatedly. Prasad was also distributed amongst the devotees..
In the evening, after Puja and Arti, various games and activities were also conducted; like religious quiz, musical chairs, dart board, tambola, traditional dress up on theme etc. and prizes also kept for the winners. Ladies group had taken part on each ten days with great enthusiasm.
On the tenth day, which is called Ananth Chaturdashi a large procession was conducted for the immersion of lord ‘Ganesha’. Residents in large group assembled at the venue to bid adieu to lord Ganesha
Children and ladies danced and played with gulal with great enthusiasm and greeted each other. The children’s swimming pool was decorated beautifully and immersion was held inside the pool by performing proper rituals. Afterwards sweets and Prasad were distributed among all.
