Ganesh Utsav celebrations began in the sector on September 19, and the two temples organised daily aartis, pujas, and bhajans during the 10-day festival.
The Kalibari Mandir organised the Sree Ganesh Chaturthi pujan for the first time ever. The 3-day programme was inaugurated by RWCS President Govind Sharma and Mrs. Maya Chatterjee. It comprised of Puja, Pushanjali, Bhog, Hom, and Arati. A cultural programme was also organised.
The most popular and possibly amongst the first organisers of Ganesh Aarti in the sector, Aggarwals (D-147) welcomed Ganpati Bappa on September 19. Aggarwals have been organising this for the past 25 years, and the evening aarti at 7:30 p.m. is a must-visit for many regular faithful. On September 25, they welcomed the renowned singer Reena Bansal, who captivated the large audience. Vansidhar Prabhuji of Iskcon Noida graced the Aggarwal’s home and blessed everyone. Guptas (C-182) also organised Ganapati Puja and dinner at their home.
Club started the procession of Ganesha from Meenu Wadhwa ‘s house. A big vibrant idol of Ganesha was brought and was taken to club on a tempo traveller with drummers playing dhol and bhaktjans dancing and chanting ‘Ganpati bappa Morya’. After whole day of puja in Vindhyachal hall a mega event was organised in the evening
