It all started with a small spark on a pole noticed by a resident next to his house C -533 followed by short circuiting of electricals in his basement to a full blown fire. An immediate call
was made to the RWA Security helpline, the Supervisor with his men armed with the newly purchased fire extinguishers, led by Anuj Bakshi RWA security committee member reached the spot within minutes. In the meanwhile great support was given by fellow neighbors and residents pitching in with their own fire extinguishers. Soon the Police team with the SHO Chander Shekhar along with the Fire Brigade and 3 fire tenders reached the location assisted by Colony Guards, were able to curtail the fire to the basement only, even though the resident suffered a huge loss, thankfully no one was injured.
Special thanks to the SHO and his team for their speedy response as well as thanks to the great co-ordination between the RWA Colony guards the local administration, the Police, Fire Brigade and last but not the least the team effort and feeling of brotherhood that helped in averting what could have been a major fire mishap.
A word of caution and request from Anuj Bakshi of RWA Security, “Please keep a set of fire extinguishers, You never know when you need one. In other words better to be safe and secure than sorry.”
