We are thrilled to celebrate the achievement of Naman Arora, son of Kapil Arora and Mamta Arora (PH2). Naman has brought pride to our community through his outstanding performance at the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2024, the world’s largest hackathon.
Representing IMS Noida in their debut appearance, Naman and his team embarked on a journey in this 48-hour non-stop national competition organized by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) in collaboration with AICTE.
The competition was held at IIT Bhubaneswar, providing an environment for participants to showcase their talent. SIH 2024 is a platform where young minds tackle real-world challenges, supported by government organizations and industry leaders.
Naman and his team developed a Fridge Detection System, showcasing immense creativity and technical expertise. However, their journey was far from smooth. Disaster struck during the final presentation when their code malfunctioned.
As discouragement set in, the team left the hall, but Naman’s determination didn’t falter.
Refusing to accept defeat, Naman debugged the code until the issue was resolved. His spirit inspired his teammates to return; together they approached the judges for a re-evaluation. This time, their system worked, earning the judges’ admiration for their resilience and problem-solving skills under pressure.
When the results were announced, the team was overwhelmed with emotion as they were declared SIH 2024 winners. The victory marked a historic moment for IMS Noida and underscored the values of perseverance, teamwork, and innovation.
