Friendship’s Day

Good coffee is a pleasure, and good friends are a treasure.

Yes, friends have significant and unique roles in our lives. Friends turn our sadness into happiness within seconds.

Though friendship is not dependent upon a day’s celebration, it continues throughout life. Like any other day of significance, the 4th of August is celebrated as Friendship Day, the ever-enthusiastic Wellington ladies gathered to celebrate this remarkable day at 6 pm. Despite her absence, Pinki sent a friendship band for everybody. All the ladies expressed their views about friendship.

According to Sunita, friendship is a blessing from God. Renu Jain said it is not based on gender. Usha Bhargava said her ideal friends were Krishna and Sudama. According to Renu Sinha, true friendship needs purity in the heart. Meera said, “One who understands you is a real friend.” Uma Khanna said friends are the cause of a smile. Rajni said real friends aren’t considered rich or poor. Lata told me my life is based on friends; without them, I cannot survive.

Along with the good conversation, all had a good tea party and sang together “ye dosti hum nahi chodenge, todenge dum magar tera saath na chodenge.”
