Friendship Club went on a picnic on 23rd January to ring in the New Year. All the members were extremely excited to be going on this picnic. About 55 ladies attended the picnic. The day arrived bright and early. All ladies dressed in their comfortable best and reached the venue on time.
The picnic started with games of various types. The first game was a test of memory. The ladies were given a glance of some items placed on a tray and then they were supposed to recall the items and write them down. The one who could recall the most items would be the winner. Anju Batra won the first prize in the memory test game. The second game was of smell. A group of five was supposed to smell and recognise the contents. It turned out to be a hilarious activity. This was followed by a quiz in which the ladies were supposed to complete the song the way it is done in a musical evening. It was compared by Anita Madan.
Dr Shahi joined in the fun and told all the ladies present that “Zindagi jio laughing, enjoy the present as a song – don’t worry, be happy! Their were mouth watering snacks like carrot and radish pakora, Chilli potatoes followed by South Indian lunch of dahi vada, Idli, Dosa, medu vada, uttapam and halwa as it is cooked in South India. Tea and filter coffee were enjoyed by all.
