The plan that weekend was clear, it was Sept 3, 2023 and the new Bar at Panchshila Club was going live. There was much anticipation as we all headed towards the beautiful East Lawns of the Club to experience The Frangipani Tavern! Nestled in the corner of the lush green lawns you can’t miss the distinct Frangipani trees with their creamy white flowers as they lead the way to this new address at the Club.
At 7 pm the place was already abuzz and guests were being welcomed with great warmth by Mr. Rajesh Chopra, the President, his Team of Managing Committee members and of course the ever-dependable Staff. To mark the opening Mr. Chopra cut the ribbon and the evening festivities began. There was delicious food, great cocktails and mocktails and the talented Irene sang some favourites which kept guests entertained through the evening. The atmosphere was exhilarating, conversation engaging with an infectious bonhomie.
The Frangipani Tavern is true to the surroundings as it immerses guests in a relaxing oasis with an enticing green theme, harmoniously blended with a light wood veneer and floral-patterned walls. Serving as an internal extension of the lawn it pays homage to the Frangipani and nature. The furniture is contemporary and has a natural teak wood finish while the Bar, with its softly lit decorative fascia tiles, serves as a centerpiece around which the interior revolves. The dimmable lighting creates a tranquil setting, perfect for leisurely gatherings or cozy conversations.
Panchshila Club at its core is a place for community, family and friends. Mr. Neeraj Puri, as head of the firm that conceptualized this design and a resident of Panchshila Park has kept this essence in mind. The Frangipani Tavern aims to create a unique and inviting environment for Members and their guests and we look forward to more of such joyous occasions.
