1.Annual General Body meeting of S Block Welfare Society will be held on Sunday, 14th April, 24 in the S Block Park. SBWS was registered as a Society on 11th Oct. 2000, though it came in to existence somewhere in 1965.
It has been holding its AGM always in April after the close of the financial year, without fail except for two years during COVID in 2020 & 21.
This year too, the Notice cum agenda was circulated on 31 March, along with M.O.M of last year’s meeting & followed by duly audited financial statements & Annual report for the year 23-24.SBWS perhaps is the only RWA in the country, which circulates its duly audited financial statements along with auditor’s report , within 3- 4 day of financial year closure. It, perhaps is also amongst a few RWA’s filing their I. Tax returns regularly & pays the due I. Tax. A contribution towards nation building. Around 150-200 members with spouses normally attend the AGM & Complimentary Lunch.
2. Elections for the eight posts of managing Committee of SBWS (if required) shall also be held in April, 24. An R.O. is appointed during the AGM, who in turn announces the conduct of elections, which are held after every two years as per the guidelines specified in the rules & regulations of SBWS.
