The newly – appointed AOA BOM has begun its work to improve AOH further. Committees have been established for different responsibilities with willing residents and domain experts.
Horticulture – The Horticulture Committee has undertaken new measures in the gardens. All sprinklers have been retrieved from the storeroom; heavy-duty new ones have been purchased to provide relief to the plants in this scorching heat.
Extensive pruning and clearing of the gardens have been undertaken. AOH is also making its own vermicompost for the first time. The Committee is planning to expand the inhouse nursery and begin a herbal garden.
The Horticulture Committee is preparing a blueprint for landscaping and beautification of the lawns. Focus is going to be on evergreens to ensure low-cost maintenance and continuous greenery.
This includes the seasonals in winter to have a riot of colour for the residents to sit and walk around.
Recycled Plastic Bench – On its Wood (Fifth) Anniversary on Monday, 3 June, the Inner Wheel Club, Noida gifted a Bench made out of Recycled Plastic to AOH. It has been placed outside the clubhouse.
The bench was inaugurated by District 301 Chairman Urvashi Mittal and President Manju Sud. AOA BOM President Col. Gurvinder Singh, VP Prof. Nita Verma and member Anand Sabharwal graced the occasion.
