Make the lift functional
Foot over Bridge near Green Park Main, A Block which joins with Hauz Khas, plays a very important role for all the pedestrians who are using it on a daily basis. This allows the pedestrians to avoid the hustle bustle of the running traffic and cross safely.
I have been using it for the past few months now and find it a boon for having on the Aurobindo Marg to avoid the moving traffic. The whole area has recently seen a facelift and is now kept clean. I would request our MLA Somnath Bharti ji to have the lift fixed and operational so that it can be used by many aged people who find it very difficult climbing up the stairs.
This time when I went, I saw the list structure was completely removed and in place of the lift water had collected. All kinds of trash was floating on top. This lift is now a necessity as railings have been erected on the divider and there is no possible passage to cross over for the pedestrians. While climbing stairs might be good for health, our senior citizens should have at least modicum of a facility like a lift available to them.
There is no other means to cross over other than this footover bridge for Green Park residents especially those living in the A block of the colony.
It is a sincere request to our authorities to look into the matter and have the lift fixed and operational at the earliest.
