As the monsoon season sweeps through Suncity, it brings much-needed rain to refresh our landscape. However, this seasonal change also creates ideal breeding conditions for mosquitoes and other pests, heightening concerns about diseases like dengue and malaria. In our vibrant community, where residents cherish ample green spaces, parks, and gardens, effectively managing these pests is vital for maintaining a healthy and comfortable living environment.
Fogging is one of the best strategies to control mosquito populations. This process sprays insecticides in targeted areas to eliminate adult mosquitoes, significantly reducing the risks of disease transmission.
While the responsibility for fogging rests with the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG), their lack of action prompted the Suncity Residents’ Welfare Association (SRWA) to step in and take the initiative. By proactively organizing these efforts, the SRWA demonstrates our community’s strong commitment to ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all residents. This collaborative spirit is what makes Suncity a truly supportive place to live.
We also want to acknowledge the vital role our residents play in funding these initiatives through maintenance and Value-Added Services (VAS) fees. Your contributions are essential to our public health efforts, and we thank you for your dedication to Suncity’s well-being.
As we move forward, we urge everyone to remain vigilant. In addition to fogging, you can help by eliminating stagnant water around your homes and using repellents and nets.
Stay safe and healthy!
