February / March are months that bring change around us. Weather begins to move from cold winter to hot summer. This period of gradual transition of day and night temperatures is pleasant and comforting. This also is the time when our surroundings are booming with flowers and greenery. This is the time of onset of Spring season in Delhi.
C Block ornamental park has the reputation of one of the best maintained parks of Greater Kailash-1. The park during these months gives you a special look and feel. The park is full of multi color flowers (white, red, purple, pink, red, yellow and orange).
Dahelia, Gainda, Singhi, Holihock, Chandituff and Cyneria are some of the varieties that are spread over the park. There is a cluster in the center of the park and multiple clusters spread over all four sides of the park. Gardner’s work hard to maintain and nurture them.
The park is surrounded by huge trees that add to beauty of the surroundings. This is also the time when huge Gulmohar trees are full of red Gulmohar flowers adding to color of the park. The park also has many metallic animals covered with green leaves making park an attraction for kids.
Walking around the ornamental park during this period is a pleasure and comforting to eyes mind and heart. Melodious voice of Koyal and chirping sound of variety of birds adds to pleasure. Senior citizens of the block spend long time during the day in the ornamental park admiring the nature and beauty of flowers and trees. The park is definitely enhancing their quality of life and longevity. Thanks to C block Garden Management Committee members who deserve appreciation.
