There is indeed no time like spring time, no matter which part of the world you stay. The beauty of spring quite literary brings a ‘spring’ to ones step, ushering happiness and joy all around. The burst of colour, the chirping of birds, the buzzing of the bees, the cool winds and the soothing sun’s warmth, all contribute to a heady cocktail of experiences that is incomparable to any other season.
But for many, those passionate about gardens, the everlasting image of spring is the sheer colour pallet that it offers by way of its flowers. Once such person is Vivek Jain (B-156, Sector-92), whose garden has won two prizes in the recently held Noida Flower Show. In the Medium-size Garden and Roadside Garden categories. Both prizes are deserving for the efforts and the result we saw when we visited the residence of Mr Jain.
The garden in their home and the one developed on the roadside are tended with the best practices of keeping water consumption to the minimum. The manure is only ‘gobar khaad’ – no chemical or pesticides used.
Despite a busy work routine, Vivek Jain spends some time to have a look on each section of the green he has created to keep the environment fresh and healthy.
The planning for the plants for this seasonal blooming and to participate in the competition was done in September/October. He told us, “This time many more sun-less days and smog were days of concern. However, once the warmth of the sun embraced the buds, the result was magic!”
