Princeton residents received an e-mail from the condominium about the Fire Mock Drill being organised by its FM Nimbus Harbor on 17/04/23. The purpose of the Drill was to equip the residents and the working staff of the estate with the knowledge to confront unpredicted fire disasters.
The residents were instructed not to use the elevators while coming down to the Central Park at 10am on 17th morning. They were also told to start from home when the hooter was heard without panicking, as it was a live demonstration.
As planned, the fire officer Chandra Paul of Nimbus Harbour with his members, led the team to Princeton Estate on 17/04/23 to preside over the Fire mock drill. At about 10 am the Estate manager Shashi Bhushan arrived at Central Park with his assistant Rahul Surya Vanshi. The fire officer of PECA Lakshmi Narayan also was present at the site. After the loud hooter the maintenance staff, housekeeping members, security guards and the horticultural team lined up in the Central Park of the society. Residents assembled at the periphery of the park.
Chandra Paul, the chief of the fire team Nimbus, after a short introduction demonstrated with the help of his team, how to react and explained the steps to be taken during the time of emergency.
Various techniques were shown and a live demonstration was presented to enable deeper comprehension. The fire mock drill demonstration lasted for an hour.
The main motto of the activity was to manage the disaster with no casualties and protect the inmates thereby.
It was a great effort by the condominium as a whole and we residents sincerely thank the managing team to have initiated such an activity to educate the inmates and staff to tackle unpredicted disasters.
