In October, DLF Phase 2 witnessed two fire incidents, raising concerns among residents. The first fire occurred at an under-construction house at Q1/14, where a lit cigarette or beedi discarded by a labourer ignited the materials on-site. The fire spread rapidly, but thanks to the prompt response from the Quick Response Team (QRT) and people around, the blaze was quickly controlled. By using water and sand, they successfully cut off the fire’s oxygen supply before any significant damage could occur.
The second incident, however, was more severe. A massive fire broke out at a residence at K-10/1, reportedly due to a short circuit. The blaze, which spread quickly, led to substantial property damage. Despite the scale of the fire, authorities reported no injuries.
