On October 22, there was a fire incident in tower F flat number 401 in Golf Avenue 1 society in sector 75. Fire was initiated due to short circuit in AC wiring. Fire propagated and damaged the flats badly. Being an electrical engineer I advise that no electrical equipment should be left in running condition if you are going out of flats. Before leaving your flat put off the main switch of equipments like AC, geyser , heat convector, room heater and microwave etc. Always switch off and remove 3 pin plug of your electric iron after use. Also switch off your fridge if you are going out for long duration and switch off your flat main supply Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCBs). If your electric wiring has become old you must follow above steps regularly. By following above steps short circuit in your flats wiring can be avoided. It will save your money also and you will be free from tension. Contributed by Dushuant Kumar (Maxblis White House sector 75)
