On the 12th of February ’24, another horrendous fire broke out in the vacant plots on Rajpath Road (behind C 352, 353 and C 354); where the green waste along with other garbage is dumped thus making the ugly site converted into an execrable stage for fire inferno soon. A huge fire broke out at around 0330 hrs. The concerned residents called Raj Kumar; the security supervisor on site; who was very helpful in taking appropriate actions by calling the Fire Department and the police first, and then calling others for help that came from all directions and from every way possible. In the wee hours of the morning, around 0405 hours the fire brigade came and extinguished the fire but the after-effects could still be seen with smoke rising from the garbage dump, creating acrid air for making it hard to breathe.
The timely action was taken by Bhallas from C 352; who reported the incident to the security supervisor and saved the situation before it got out of hand, kudos to them and the fellow residents who helped in avoiding the fire disaster and saved the community from being taxed furthermore. Long live camaraderie of the good Samaritans!
