On the night of January 10th, a massive fire broke in the middle of the night, in C 889 -900A lane and all meters were gutted down to ashes. The electricity vanished for quite a few hours after that.
A massive fire broke out at around 2:00 am in C block on a DHBVN electric pole in front of house C 889 resulting in the burning of several cables, and also to 18 electric meters hanging on the said pole. It is believed that the overloading of poles with multiple meters and wires is the cause of such fires. Ideally, there should be no more than 10 electric meters per pole installed by the DHBVN.
Luckily no damage was done either to the life or the parked vehicles in the vicinity. The authority looked into the matter and managed to eradicate the problem to reaffix the amenity. One is left wondering if only this was avoidable or taken care of beforehand!
