Festivities In Holiday Club

The young team of Holiday Club is leaving no stone unturned to make every event on every occasion successful. Dussehra was celebrated on 24th October with a grand show of Ramayana which was played by live characters. The backdrop had digitized scenes. The audience enjoyed the act. The commentary by an efficient speaker added to the glory of the show. The whole show of the Ramayana went on for 90 minutes and much appreciated by the residents. Such shows are very educative and informative for our children who know very little about our epics. Thereafter Dandia was organised and played by all present there along with DJ which had the young crowd on their feet dancing. The Dj belted out some popular numbers. Wine was flowing and a good menu made the evening enjoyable for the  young and old.

Karwachauth was celebrated on 1st November in the Club. It was well attended by the residents and other members of the club. Ladies queued up to the mehndiwalis. The pandal was tastefully decorated, different stalls of shopping  and eating  were installed in the beautiful front lawn to make the evening more enjoyable.

Icing on the cake was the romantic songs by the well known singer of the club Ruchi. People couldn’t resist dancing on the popular songs. People did a lot of Diwali shopping from the stalls. The scrumptious food stalls made the dining experience complete. The jalebis were mouth watering and rabri were delicious.

The festival of Karwachauth, much romanticised by the married ladies was celebrated with tradition and fanfare. The ladies arrived in best of their attire and looked happy.  The pandal was huge and spacious enough to accommodate all the ladies. Special arrangements of keeping chairs around a big table were made for super senior ladies who could not sit on the ground to do the pooja.  Anita Bhatia of the colony recited the Karwachauth story with lot of spice and humour. It was real fun for the colony ladies as well as for our councillor Shikha Rai, who also performed the pooja with us and got photographed with the ladies. Some ladies enjoyed tea/coffee offered by the club authorities after the pooja. The club authorities also gifted every lady a beautiful red pouch of Shringar and mishri as a token of their love and regard for the colony ladies. Shikha Rai also offered a delicious matki of rabri to all present there. The fun of the festival escalated with such a beautiful gesture from the club and presence of Shikha Rai.

Last but not the least, club authorities also sent a pack of delicious Pinnies(dry fruit ladoos) and a beautiful Diya as a Diwali gift  to all the members of the club.

Kudos to the Club Secretary and the whole team who ensured that all festivities are celebrated in a grand way.
