The Windsor community has been celebrating all occasions with enthusiasm and gusto, with tradition and as required by that event. So was true this time too on the occasion of Janmashtmi and Ganesh Chaturthi.
Janmashtami Celebrations
“Perform all thy actions with mind concentrated on the Divine, renouncing attachment and looking upon success and failure with an equal eye. Spirituality implies equanimity.” (Bhagwad Gita)
Janmashtami, one of the eagerly awaited festivals in India, marks the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna. He is one of the most powerful avatars of Lord Vishnu who was born to inculcate goodness and eradicate evil.
On 07 September, devoted and talented ladies of Windsor Green adorned the apartments’ club house with beautiful flowers and banana leaves. Little Radhas – Asmi, Saisha, Kaisha, Navya, Tiara – and little Krishnas – Dishansh, Reyansh, Shantanu, Prakhar and Satvik – were excited to dance and sing songs.
The show was full of love and devotion by our Windsor ladies. From the beautiful decor to splendid performances it was a wonderful celebration of Kanhaji’s birthday. These festivals bring the spirit of community togetherness, love and understanding.
Ganesh Chaturthi
Ganapati-Bappa-Morya, Mangal-Murti-Morya! – sounds that echoed in Windsor Green with the arrival of Ganapati Ji in Parul Sachdeva’s house.
Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated every year for 10 days by offering melodious prayers and different varieties of mouthwatering modaks to our favourite Gannuji. Enthusiastic children, senior citizens and all other residents participated by showcasing their talent through singing bhajans, poems, dance and telling stories.
Ten days of evening Aarti, mesmerizing bhajans and sumptuous Prasad rejuvenates us to give our best in future. Here comes the day of Ganpati Visarjan where we say “Agle-baras-tum-jaldi-aana” and immerse all our worries to Him.
Such social and devotional gatherings teach our children the meaning of companionship, care and compassion for others.
