The residents of Kaveri apartments @ D-6 Vasant Kunj celebrated the onset of the festive season with multiple events during the month of October.
The celebrations began on the final day of Navratri (Oct 4 2022), with a Dandiya Nite organized by the RWA. Beautiful decorations, delicious catering and an elaborate sound system in the central park set the tone of the event. This was further complemented by Kaverian residents who came dressed in their best, ready to dance to the tunes of popular Garba and Dandiya songs along with the latest Bollywood hits.
The event culminated with ramp walks by couples, who were keenly observed by a panel of judges. After a lot of deliberation, the award of the ‘best dressed couple’ went to Nishu and Abhimanyu Garg.
Friends that dance together, stay together – the camaraderie within the Kaveri family was on full display, during this fun-filled event which symbolically brought everyone together for the 1st time after COVID-19.
The very next day, the celebrations continued on Dussehra with an eco-friendly Ravana making competition. 4 groups of kids demonstrated their artistic expertise with Ravana effigies.
Additionally, residents and kids set up stalls to sell all kinds of exciting stuff under the sun – such as apparel, accessories and home décor items. There were a few fun games too!
The final October event was a simple, heart-warming gift distribution ceremony held on the day of Dhanteras (Oct 22nd 2022), which was meant to honour society staff. The society is managed by a group of housekeeping, security, gardening, lift caretakers and supervision staff, who have stood with the society through thick and thin. Residents came together to appreciate and hand over token gifts to the staff member at the Kaveri community centre.
D-6 Kaveri apartments is a society comprising of 805 flats which was developed by DDA prior to the 2010 common wealth games.
