The Lok Sabha elections ended on the 1stof June. Gurugram voted on the 25thof May. As per the schedule, the voting was to begin from 7am onwards. However, a big crowd was waiting at Lan-cer’s school at around 6:45 am. Everybody was eager to vote. It was so crowded in the outer part of Lancer’s school that there was no space for parking. Senior citizens, walking with sticks or on wheelchairs, also utilised their right to vote. From the main gate to the polling booth, it was a considerable walk for them, but they did exercise their voting rights. As soon as the sun came up and it became hotter, the crowd became sparse. It has been reported that the voting percentage of all 5 booths was 53%.The arrangements were smooth, and it went off peacefully.
