Afelicitation ceremony was organised on the occasion of Teacher’s Day by Unnati (a school of learning) which is based in Noida. It is a small initiative to teach children and a few domestic helpers. They focus on overall development of the children from humble background. In the ceremony 25 teachers (from 5 different states of India and one from abroad) were felicitated. All the teachers were given certificates and trophies by a number of renowned organizations for educating almost 30 children either online or offline. The event took place on the Teachers’ Day itself. Madhu Sehgal, teacher and social worker was the chief guest of the ceremony.
The programme started with the welcome of the esteemed chief guest. Then the founder, of Unnati (a school of learning) Shreen Vardhan Sharma expressed heartfelt gratitude to the chief guest, the organizations who presented the certificates and trophies and to the teachers of Unnati for their noble task of teaching and guiding the students from humble background.
It was followed by the most awaited moment, the ‘Teachers’ felicitation ceremony’. In acknowledgement of the year-long hard work and valuable contribution of the teachers, all the teachers from the school were felicitated by the chief guest , Madhu Sehgal, Gunjeev Karla, Rachna Singh, Board member of a well known news channel,Akta Sehgal Malhotra and Rekha Jha . Each time the teachers came to receive token of appreciation; the students gave them standing ovation.
A small cultural programme was organised by the students of Unnati. All the children gave marvelous performances.
To acknowledge the effort of students and to mark the international day of charity also, after the performances the chief guest distributed stationery items to all the students of Unnati. The stationery items were donated by Saurabh Jain and by Kanchan Hiranandani. Some eatables were provided by Smita. In her speech, she appreciated the effort put in by the children for the celebration. She even said that such award ceremony motivate the teachers and the students. She was pleasantly surprised to see the ambience of the school , praised the quality of teachers and the discipline of the students.
Madhu Sehgal shared her experience with teachers and students and restated that the future generations of the country are safe in the hands of the creditable teachers who work so hard for the betterment of the children.
The felicitation ceremony came to an end with a vote of thanks by C.E.O of Unnati. A student of Unnati, Lalit Chouhan and Anita Ma’am presented a momento to the chief guest and to other special guests.
It was indeed a very nice initiative undertaken by Unnati (a school of learning) along with other two reputed organizations.The teachers couldn’t have asked for a better gift
