September is here and for students that means half-yearly or mid-year exams. Exam season is here and everyone is preparing for it. From the increased bustling outside tuitions to the lesser number of teenagers in the parks, the effects of exam season have already started taking place in Suncity. So, here are some tips I hope you find helpful.
1. Consistency is key: Rather than studying for 6 hours at once, focus on giving at least an hour and a half to that subject every day. Consistency yields better results than studying all the material in one day. Subjects like math, languages and physics can only be conquered through consistency.
2. Keep yourselves hydrated: Drinking enough water is very important for every human being. Often, while studying, we forget to keep up our water intake. It can be helpful to keep a water bottle beside you while studying. Besides, water increases concentration and alertness while also banishing headaches.
3. Take breaks: Taking breaks in the middle of study sessions is very important and perhaps not emphasized enough. Taking breaks can help you absorb information, increase your alertness and concentration and prevent headaches. I suggest talking to friends, listening to music or going outside. Fresh air helps clear the mind and strengthen the body.
4. Positivity: Last but not least, try to think positively about your upcoming exams to avoid last-minute jitters. Even if you are not able to surround yourself with a positive environment, think positively and optimistically. It can create a huge difference in the way you feel and can significantly impact your outlook.
With these tips as your little tool kit to not only survive but pass your exams with flying colours this time, I wish all the students in Suncity good luck. Happy studying!
