Recently the residents and the RWA EC were taken completely by surprise on reading Madam President’s resignation letter circulated on the groups, expressing herinability to continue as President due to family commitments and calling for fresh elections in July. And then just suddenly a day later, she withdrew her resignation when informed according to rules.
In the absence or resignation of the President the Vice President takes over. There are no fresh elections!
What was even more baffling, was the continuation of an ex-President’s shenanigans to hold on to power through his latest and desperate attempt of an immediate signature campaign letter urging members to sign and call for fresh RWA elections due to ‘Non- performance of the RWA.
The letter with the ex-President’s WhatsApp followers and signatories was placed at the Club reception and campaigned openly for several days at the Club, in violation and a gross misuse of power and premises.
Furious members objecting strongly reported it to the Club management and had it withdrawn. Neither the Club nor the RWA is anyone’s personal fiefdom for their personal agendas. Strange how this was allowed at all, and by whose permission and remained unnoticed till reported? A lot has to be answered for including the ex- President, whose one foot is still in another’s chair!
