The New Friend’s Club, is making a mammoth effort to uplift the club in all respects. They are bringing about revolutionary changes in this direction.
The club is organising a food festival, beginning from the last week of October to the last week of November. Punjabi, Chettinad, Rajasthani, Awadhi, Kashmiri, and Hyderabadi cuisines will be served. The festival will be held every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of the week.
Renovation At The Club
The New Friends Club is also undergoing the much-awaited renovation. The ground floor, which includes the reception, lounge, Indian & Chinese restaurants, and bar, will go under the anvil. Work has started at the Indian restaurant and the bar. Therefore, the bar and restaurant have been shifted to the lounge.
To populate the club with new energetic youngsters, the club has introduced a scheme where youngsters are becoming members of the club while their parents are converting to dependent members. Complying with this scheme, members are transferring their memberships to their children or grandchildren. They are becoming dependent members.
This scheme has increased the influx of young blood in the club. Subsequently, more and more youngsters are visiting the club and there is increased participation in the sports activity. Badminton, squash, swimming, bowling alley, shooting, golf, table tennis and snooker are the various sports options being provided at the club. Soon the club plans to introduce the paddle game, which will be a mix of tennis and squash.
The entire team of club management is going the extra mile to uplift the club. I am in touch with the dynamic secretary, Abhayjeet Sharma, and general secretary, A.S.Kohli, for my input about the club.
