Summers are synonymous with activities and camps. But when it comes to avid readers, they do not even wait for the summer holidays to begin. In this spirit, Littles Books organised the first Kids’ Book Club edition at the Yoga Room on Saturday, 18 May.
A bunch of four-seven-year-olds got together for an hour to read, discuss and enjoy their favourite books. The Book Club included book reading and a related activity. Its aim was to encourage young readers to discover the world of books.
Early exposure to books fosters curiosity and enhances critical thinking. For children, it was a highlight as book lovers came together for lively conversations and shared literary adventures.
The participants relished the opportunity to share their favourite literary adventures and engage in lively conversations, demonstrating how exploring various genres can broaden horizons and enrich vocabulary.
For a few attendees, the Club served as a delightful introduction to the joys of reading.
Through initiatives like the Espacia Kids’ Book Club, led by Aishwarya (T35 – 402) of Littles Books and young enthusiasts like Shaanvi, children are encouraged to explore the diverse world of literature, fostering a love for reading that extends far beyond the summer months.
The Kids’ Book Club meets every Saturday between 12-1 PM.
