On 15 August, we proudly celebrated our 77th Independence Day, marking 76 years of freedom. To make this day even more special, to instil a sense of patriotism in the younger generation and to maintain the excitement in the older generation, Espacia residents hosted a fun & mesmerising event.
The society was decorated in the signature colours – saffron, white and green, holding their individual significances; it was beyond pretty. A beautifully – choreographed performance by Aastha Gupta in the kathak dance form was performed by children leaving everyone in awe, and admiring the zeal exhibited by the kids.
Another beautiful patriotic dance performance by children choreographed by Archana Chaubey was exhibited during the event. A fashion show was held by the kids where they dressed up in unique outfits and showcased their fashion creativity, which was admired by all.
The senior citizens of our little community sang a beautiful patriotic song and left a mark of love in all of our hearts. It consisted of five women singers; the sight was exquisite reminding us that even with time, beauty never fades.
Solo performances & a group dance of four ladies were performed which contained a lot of energy and enthusiasm. A fun – filled walkathon was organised with healthy competition and sportsmanship. Prizes were distributed to merit winners at the end of the walkathon by the AOA office.
Mrs Sangeeta, the AoA President, hoisted our National Flag; everyone paid respects to it & to the significance it held to our nation. Last but not the least, a variety of food stalls were set up for residents to enjoy the event with a full and happy stomach.
