Chaitra Navratri, observed in the Hindu lunar month of Chaitra (March – April) holds a significant cultural and spiritual importance. Lasting for nine days, we worship Goddess Durga and her various forms. This also marks the beginning of the Hindu New Year.
A nine days’ pooja, from 9 to 17 April, was organised by our Shiv Shakti Dham trustees in the Mandir. Residents participated in the pooja with full devotion. For these nine consecutive days, prayers were offered to Ma Durga followed by Bhajans, Aarti and Prasad distribution among all.
Kirtans were conducted on the nine days by Renu & Seema, Santosh Kansal, Jyoti Kankar, Rachit Agrawal, Suman Katyal, Himmi Jain & Darshika Sharma, RK Goyal, Pallavi Gupta, and Dr Suman Sharma.
On the ninth day, i.e., on Ram Navami, a Bhandara was organised in the Mandir parisar. In the evening, a few devotees performed on a Ram Bhajan beautifully choreographed and presented by Pallavi Gupta, Preeti Sisodia, Ritu Ghavri and Swati Chauhan.
It was a serene and beautiful dance to watch and a treat for everyone’s eyes!
