Parsvanath Srishti was once again well-dwelled in the mood of “heart-welcoming celebrations” with all lit-up premises and the aroma of food diffusing profusely all around in the arena, on the eve of 20 December.
The society celebrated “December Duos”, namely Christmas and thankfulness for 2024, while eagerly waiting with open arms for 2025. The event was celebrated in the amphitheatre premises with well-organized food stalls. To keep the atmosphere charged and beat the biting winter cold, the angithis (fire holders) were lighted on all four front corners.
The society was decorated in the beautiful, sparkling décor lights, and a big Christmas tree with gifts hanging in it. There was a Santa Claus too! A society member was dressed up in red and white, as Santa Claus and distributed chocolates among children. The children were mesmerized and happy with joy.
The event started at 7 pm with the singing of Christmas carols by the society’s members. The most attractive feature of this piece was the amalgamation of all age groups, from children to seniors to elders. They sang in unison, which was enjoyed by all. The next event scheduled was the live band music performance by the popular Tarish Collective band. It was honestly the most beautiful, synchronized, and audience-oriented performance, which drew people to the stage. The people started tapping their feet and danced their hearts out to the changing rhythms.
Keeping the regulatory norms in mind, the event ran till 10 pm and the curtains were pulled down at that hour. Though we all wanted Tarish band to continue for hours but rules are rules, and one must abide by them.
The event concluded successfully with a collective toast to the upcoming year, as residents expressed gratitude for the cherished moments of 2024.
With the hope to see more of such live concerts, the public dispersed taking for ever the cherishable memories in hearts.
