A good thought or process started by someone should not stop. Long back our freedom fighter Shree Lokmanya Tilak has started Sarvjanik Ganesh Festival to get together and make aware people about freedom movement. This year also Elite residents welcomed Ganeshji with full on masti and enthusiasm. Preparations were made before day like decoration of mandap, bringing Idol, keeping everything ready for Ganesh pooja.
On 7 September, Saturday 8 am parikrama started and as it was weekend many residents along with their kids joined. Society reverberated with Jai Ganesh slogan. After parikrama Ganesh sthapna was done followed by arti and prasad.
Daily kirtan was performed in the evening by Society ladies. A festival mela was also organized. On Sunday morning around 10 there was a drawing activity for kids. Although it was for kids but their mothers also participated in colouring Ganesha pictures.
In the evening there was a Bhajan Sandhya by Elite residents for elite residents.
Many people participated enthusiastically in different events. On Monday residents performed Hawan in the evening. Senior Citizen participated in it enthusiastically.
Most attractive part was Ganesh Visarjan. After evening arti and prasad it was time to depart our Ganesha. Ganeshji was about to sit in a small truck for parikrama and every kid wants to sit with him, hug him, and they were telling their wishes in his ears. They were waiting from the morning to sit in truck and they did not want to miss.
Here we have been successful to bring children to our rich culture and mythology, not by force but by their own wish.We wish we flourish our culture with our future generation.
Ganesh idol visarjan has been done in pond near our society. We are very much thank full to Anuj Shrivastava and Mandir Samitee, Aoa Elite Homz, Mr. Bimal Shah, Mrs Vrinda Hinganikar Mr Pradeep Gupta and everyone who had contributed to make the festival successful.
