Environment day serves as the reminder to prioritise our planet and invest in future. Humans are the dominant species on earth and our every action has a great impact on environment directly or indirectly. Nowadays, everyone can observe and see the effect of climate change. We also read writeups on social media about climate change We have also observed more weather fluctuations and seasonal variations as compared to previous decades. Many of us have already started taking this problem seriously and many others are worried about the future of their children as they can see and feel everything that is happening in front of their eyes. Many of us have started applying small actions and spreading awareness in our local territories. We can prioritise our contribution towards the earth’s ecosystem by taking small steps in our daily life.
On an individual level we can incorporate eco-friendly habits in our daily routine like, use of cloth /jute bags, segregating wet and dry waste , separating plastic wrappers, bottles, food containers for recycling purpose. These small steps are crucial for the well-being of the planet as well as for economic growth. Glad to know that some of the Elite ladies are aware and understand their responsibility towards the environment hazards caused by plastics and are already segregating wet and dry waste as well as collecting plastic bottles/wrappers separately. Not only are they doing this at home but are also spreading awareness among other society members, family members and maids. This idea of separate plastic collection was first initiated by Shalu Bansal and executed by Vaishali. Special thanks to Shipra Dwivedi, Charu Aggarwal, Khushi Aggarwal,Shaili ,Amrit, Shachi, Pooja, Swati, Poonam, Kavina, Namrta, Shallu Singla, Sudha Manglik, Parul Jain, Shipra Sharma, Sunanda Jain, Anuradha, Sumati, Reema(B-802) Reema(F-1202), Sona, Sonika, Madhu, Ruby Bansal who are already segregating wastes at home and are spreading awareness among others too. This noble work should not be limited to some members of the society but must be followed by every Elitian because everyone is aware of the government rules on segregation of wet and dry waste to protect our environment. Our AOA members can come forward to make this change happen.
