The Annual General Body Meeting with the agenda to duly elect the Executive Committee of the Bougainvilla Apartments RWA 2023-25, B-4 Vasant Kunj was held at the Gazebo Park as per the election schedule on Sun, 8 Oct 2023.
The election process was set in motion with the appointment of the Election Officer, Gp. Capt. Vijay Malik and drawing of the election schedule at the meeting of the General Body on 24 Sep 2023. Thereafter, with the completion of the process of filing of nominations and withdrawal, the final list of valid candidates was drawn on 06 Oct 2023 preparing the ground for elections to the Executive Committee of the RWA 2023-25 on 08 Oct 2023.
The AGBM was chaired by the Election Officer. The outgoing President, Dr GS Yadava presented a report on his tenure. He narrated the events and delved on the struggles and challenges in carrying out all the development work such as Open Gym, MPPS for Children, Streetlight Poles, Borewell for Horticulture, Carpet Grassing of all Parks, Public Toilet, Artistic Gazebo, Fire Safety of the Buildings with 7 Fire Extinguishers, Traffic Alert Blinkers System, besides regular maintenance works. He thanked the MP Ramesh Bidhuri for providing funds from his MPLADS, all his team members for their support and cooperation, besides making a special mention of the Jt. Secy., Dr. Sowesh Pattanaik for the successful execution of the works. He lauded the lady guard, Ms Usha for the sincerity, dedication and commitment to her service despite all hardships being the only woman personnel in the society. The Secy. (Fin.) Abhijay Ratan placed the ‘Statement of Accounts & Expenditure 2021-23’ before the General Body.
Resuming the election process, the Election Officer announced that as there’s only one contesting candidate for each of the 5 posts of Office-Bearers and only 5 candidates for maximum of 10 posts of the Executive Members of the Executive Committee of the RWA, it does not warrant any polling. Hence, he declared all the candidates duly ‘elected unopposed’ from their respective posts, collectively constituting the following new Executive Committee of the RWA 2023-25:
Office-Bearers: President: Ms. Paramjeet Khanna, Vice President: Ms. Jyoti Sudha Verma, Secretary (Admn.): Dr. Sowesh Pattanaik, Secretary (Fin.): Mr. Abhijay Ratan, Joint Secretary: Ms. Shikha Rai Dutta; Executive Members: Ms. Sonam Bhutia, Ms. Papiha Desai, Mr. S.C. Saluja, Mr. Sanjeev Verma, Mr. Gautam Yadav.
On the invite of the Election Officer, the new duly elected Executive Committee of the RWA 2023-25 led by the President, Ms. Paramjeet Khanna took charge of the office of the RWA w.e.f. 8 Oct 2023 and in this regard, a resolution was unanimously passed by the General Body.
