Elections and voting are two very essential components of any democratic setup. Be it the country, state, local bodies or RWAs/AOAs, elections are necessary to maintain balance of power in any society. Recently elections of two bodies were conducted successfully and two new teams were formed.
The first election held was of the RWA of Rail Vihar in sector 30. The AGM of the body and elections were held on April, 2, 2023. The AGM was presided over by Sunil Sharma who was also the returning officer for the elections. Voting was held in the presence of all the members and the following executive committee was declard. Piyush Salwan as president, Mrigen Singh as vice president, Anil Arora as secretary, Gaurav Upadhayay as treasurer and Arvind Sharma as advisor to the management committee. Vote of thanks was given by Narinder Sharma, former president and the whole process was concluded peacefully.
Secondly elections were also held to elect office bearers of the KSSSBTGN Samiti Ltd, sector 36 Noida. Anand Swarup Gupta of C block of sector 31 was elected as president of the samiti for the next term and Naresh Garg of sector 36 was elected as vice president. The samiti is represented by 9 directors, each elected from 9 different wards in sector 36, sector 31 and part of sector 41. These directors then elect a president and vice president amongst themselves by secret ballot. There are a total of 1234 shareholders of the samiti who cast their vote to elect their representatives. From sector 36 the following directors were elected; Vinod Kapoor from ward 1, Anita from ward 2, Rajni Sharma from ward 3, Naresh kumar Garg from ward 4 and Sushma Agrawal from ward 5. From sector 31 the following directors were elected; Shikha Gupta from ward 6, Anand Swarup Gupta from ward 7 and Devender Singh from ward 8. From sector 41, Rajesh Devi was elected from ward 9.The outgoing president R.K Singh felicitated the newly elected President A.S Gupta in the presence of several samiti members & elected directors. RK Singh wished the new team success in carrying out their duties towards the welfare, interests and security of all members of the samiti in a balanced & equitable manner. All the newly elected office bearers congratulated each other and took an oath to uphold their duties and responsibilities.
We wish both the above teams success in executing their duties and also come to the conclusion that timely and fair elections when held give rise to a feeling of brotherhood and equality in the society.
