Now that our elected officials have taken an oath and started working for the betterment of their constituents, SCRWA wants help of all South City 1 residents to create a list of issues and demands.
A brief list is added below. All residents are requested to identify other issues and demands and email them to scrwa.gurgaon @gmail.com by 10th November 2024.
Key issues:
• Poor sanitation and garbage disposal
• ‘ Desilting of Storm water & Sewers; – Inadequate water supply and maintenance
• ‘ Encroachment by the Silokhra Market & hawkers outside the Arcade to be removed immediately
• Unrepaired roads and lack of streetlights
• Ineffective waste management and pollution control
• Undesired public transportation and Buses plying in the colony which lacks proper roads and to make it out of bounds within the society.
South City 1 residents’ demand:
– Regularize garbage collection and ensure proper sanitation
• Provide 24/7 water supply and fix leakages
• Repair and maintain roads, footpaths, and streetlights
• Implement effective waste management and pollution control measures
• ‘ Proper cleaning of roads and green belts.
Having inked our index fingers, it is time we raised our voices in demand.
