As the country held its 18th Lok Sabha elections, all national parties went into campaign mode all hammer and tongs. Malibu Towne was also gripped by the election fever. Having one of the largest voter bases across Gurgaon, Malibu caught the attention of the two national parties; Congress and BJP. Congress candidate, Raj Babbar, sent in his representation through his daughter Juhi Babbar and Son-in-law Anup Soni, of “Crime Patrol” fame, who lent the much coveted star power to the meetup. The residents were thrilled to have a star campaigner amidst them and lined up for a photo-op. The star couple gladly indulged the residents and also vowed to resolve the city’s issues if Raj Babbar gets elected to office.
The second representation came in the form of Aarti Yadav, daughter of the defending candidate from the ruling party, Rao Inderjit from the BJP, who has earlier been a member of the same party he now stands against; the Congress. The meetup saw a relatively big turnout owing to the presence of a large number of RSS pracharaks in the colony. Ms Aarti urged the people to ensure that her father wins by a big margin and stays put in the office.
The battle royale involving a royal and Bollywood royalty will see its outcome next week. The 04th of June will decide the fortune of two political veterans. In the words of French Philosopher Joseph De Maistre; Every nation gets the government it deserves.
We shall soon get what we deserve too.
