At Emerald Court, everything is done with full Energy and participation, be it the Ram Lalla ki Yatra or the Holi, Diwali or the numerous festivals and functions that we all celebrate together. In the Chain of Events comes this Festive October.
The Change of Guard at the Emerald Court happens on 31 October Every Year, when a New Group of Residents Elected by a due process of RWA Elections take over with New Energy and New Thoughts. Over the years, the process of elections has become very robust, and the conventions are followed religiously by an Independent Election Committee. One-third of the members retire every Year and the remaining members also have to go through the process of getting the mandate from the residents once again. The election process had already started much earlier to the D-Day, 13 October.
This Year, the Navaratri and the Elections happened together, a very interesting issue to manage for the ECORWA. Over the last many years, all the daughters, the mothers and the grandmothers of the Emerald Court get together and perform Puja for all the Nine Days at the Banquet Hall with lots of devotion and camaraderie.
This Year is very special, as the residents decided to celebrate the ‘Sorbojonin Durgotsav’ organized by the Utsav Pujo Samiti. The preparations began in advance with all the venues fully booked for the practice sessions of Garbha, Bharatanatyam and many more. The Pandals and the preparations to welcome Maa Durga into the society were in top Gear and as we anticipated, it was a grand event at the Emerald Court.
End of this month will bear fruit in terms of a New Board and lots of Positive Energy, expected from the Festivities all around.
Unfortunately, this story can only continue in the next Issue of Samvada to share the outcome of all the events. So, folks, don’t miss the November issue to read the outcome of all the Fever and the Fervor.
