The election atmosphere this time has created waves all around as different participants from different wards commenced the canvassing for their candidature. All methods were being put to use- be it the megaphones on the moving three-wheelers, praising their party songs and the candidate’s accomplishments and aptitude for serving the people of their wards, banners that filled every empty space all around, and even WhatsApp messages that were coming relentlessly on individual’s phone. No respite!
To think from their own perspective, this is necessary too as we seem to have a short memory and tend to lose the connection besides how to project their accomplishments and showcase them in such a manner. This seems to be the best method to reach multitudes and work at the grassroot level.
India is a land of festivals so the election ambience also gives out the fervour of celebrating our vote-casting facility and providing us with a charged atmosphere to remind us about our duties. Hope the turnout at the polling booths is great in number and whosoever is selected would remember her/his duties. Long Live Democracy!
