On 27 Sep a resident reported: Just now, outside my house two elderly ladies were passing by and my specially-abled (mentally challenged) 9-year-old daughter little misbehaved with them.
My maid and my younger daughter even apologised to them, still one of them tried to slap my daughter and said I will surely do it.
Strange civilized behaviour.
She is Mild to Moderately Autistic, ADHD and also suffering with OCD. Still her IQ is quite good, she is studying class lll in J P Public School Greater Noida and performing and behaving well there with all teachers and students.
Still, I admit she tried to spit on that elderly lady but as a child, that lady should have been considerate. When my 20-year-old maid and 7-year-old younger daughter told her that she is mentally challenged even then she said, “she at least deserves 1 slap and then she will reform”. Then my younger daughter held her elder sister at her back with one hand and offered that lady her cheek by saying, “Aunty Aap Mujhae marr lo, par Aap Meri Behan ko na maro, kyonki usko samajh nahi hae. Then that lady stopped. I still don’t know who she was.
My reason for telling all this story is neither to get any sympathy nor any praise or anything.
The only thing I wanted to convey is, as she is a small, mentally challenged child. Then this elderly lady should have either forgiven her as my maid, my younger daughter and this girl in pretext, all asked for forgiveness from her with folded hands, not even once but many times, but she still tried to slap her, my maid and my younger daughter saved her from this lady. If this lady was so badly annoyed, she should have pressed our house door bell and should have called me out. I would have even touched her feet and apologised for my daughter’s deed but an elderly lady should have been this much wise that she shouldn’t have raised her hand to slap a mentally challenged child and I wanted to convey that this mother is bold enough to protect her daughters from all Ills, Evils and Devils.
