Ek Shaam desh ke veeron ke naam and other musical evenings in DLF-2

9th October 2022!! A day that was celebrated in DLF -2 to honour war veterans. This initiative was taken by DLf 2 resident- Vipin Yadav  and others like Renu Pathak and Ashok Diwekar ji.

In lieu of the 75th year of Independence the Hindi Samiti wanted to kick start this motion of honouring the war veterans at the national level on this occassion. Conducting this event  was the first step towards it and this will be followed by the similar kind of events happening pan India by this organisation.

The program started at Arya Samaj Mandir auditorium with the lighting of the lamp by, Raj Kumar Goyal ji, Maj Gen Rajender Yadav, Maj Gen S P Roy and Ashok Jain ji. 

Many residents, children and adults participated to perform dances on desh-bhakti songs, sang patriotic songs, and recited poems in honour of the nation and armed forces.

Children from the NGO, Sukarma foundation, performed for the first time on stage. They sang ‘Saare Jahan say Achha’. Girls from Masoom foundation performed Ganesh vandana dance. Highlight of the program was that almost everyone from all known groups of DLF 2, were invited to felicitate the performers.

Coordination of the entire chain of performances was under the leadership of Aneesha Thukral, Jyotsna Yadav, Renu Pathak & other members of  Naari Shakti group , Lets play group and morning walkers’ group. 

It was an evening that has etched memories in the hearts of all who attended as performers and guests.

In the following days, on Saturday, 15th October, musical group SWARANJALI also held a musical evening at Arya Samaj Mandir with Lilly Singh as chief guest.

To celebrate Diwali, on Thursday, 20th October the Art Of Living group of phase 2, also held a musical evening in the basement of N-14/5.

October 2022 has definitely been a month of celebrations in DLF -2.
