PFA article on Annual Award Function in Govt Sarvodhya Co Ed School, Varun Marg, Def Col, graced by MLA of area, Madan Lal ji
In pursuance of excellence in the field of education and life skill development amongst the younger generation, 30 Jan, 2024 will be forever etched in our memories as a memorable milestone. Govt Sarvodya Co Ed School, Varun Marg, Def Col erstwhile known by the nomenclature of Chidiya Ghar School has over last year witnessed unprecedented metamorphosis in terms of infrastructure, facilities and holistic development of students studying there.
Their Annual day and Prize Distribution Ceremony held on 30 Jan, 2024 bears a testimony to the growth in the Education and Extra Co-Curricular sector which the NCR is undergoing in the ambit of Delhi Govt Schools.
The Ceremony began with a Grand Guard of Honour performed to perfection by the students dressed in the formal NCC attire. We were then taken for the live demonstration of STEM experiments conducted by the students who also displayed their master pieces in art and craft.
Right from solar sensor train to the Montessori mathematical models to Eco Friendly indigenous exercise bike every demonstration by students left the team in awe.
The most awaited section and the one for which the students had worked for over six months was the Cultural Panorama including Exquisite Bagpiper Band, Dance and musical extravaganza depicting dances and costumes from different states of India.
The finale saw the Prize Distribution Ceremony in which the audience rose to give a standing ovation for a historic result of 100% in most subjects in 10th and 12th boards by students of this school.
It’s said, “It takes a village to raise a child” Witnessing the beautiful ceremony in our Def Col school underlined how a collaborative effort of Delhi Govt, Principal, mentors, SMC representatives can work wonders to shape the destiny of a student.
