As the nation celebrated its 75th Republic Day, residents of Morpheus came together in a spirit of unity and cultural fervor, showcasing a unique blend of patriotism and sustainable living. The combined celebrations of New Year and Republic Day saw a large gathering of all age groups enjoying festive cheer.
The day commenced with a flag hoisting ceremony, where the tricolor waved proudly against the foggy sky. The cultural program, hosted by Madhvi and Sonu, saw young children take the lead – Ved Agarwal dressed in a traditional outfit, Raghav and Ved Maheshwari on guitar, while Pragun and Garvik Agarwal recited patriotic poems. The patriotic quiz kept everyone on their toes while the fervent Hindi shayari by Ruchika Jain enthralled the audience. The program ended on a high note with a melodious patriotic song by the hosts reflecting the rich cultural tapestry of India.
Adding a touch of warmth to the festivities, the society organized a New Year lunch with a live singing band belting out beautiful melodious tunes. The sun shone after a chilly morning making for an ideal setting. The aroma of chole-bathure and gajar-ka-halwa filled the air as residents shared laughter and stories, creating lasting memories.
What set this celebration apart was the society’s commitment to sustainability. The decorations adorned the common areas with a burst of colors were all crafted from eco-friendly materials. Steel plated and spoons were used for lunch while tea was served in kullahds thereby minimizing waste. This eco-conscious approach served as a powerful example for the community.
In the true spirit of the day, Republic Day celebrations embodied the values of unity, diversity, and sustainability with a glow of joy and pride.
