Like each year, this year too Earth Hour was observed by environmental-conscientious residents on 23 March. Many apartments were seen in the dark during that hour, 8.30 to 9.30 pm. Observed at this time (according to the local time of that location) all over the world, light of official buildings are switched off – except for the essential lights – for one hour. Started in 2007, in Sydney, this is to take a stand against and address climate change issues. We have to work hard to make people aware of this ‘hour’ to express our concern for the impact of earth warming.
