Each Being On Earth Deserves A respectful farewell

Ankur Chopra’s loving farewell to the street dog

We humans presume that this planet is made for us only and we only have the right to live, use all the natural resources and have the right to live with dignity.

This is a very sad thought process and low level of thinking.. Every plant, every animal, insects, aquatic beings, each one that nature has created has an equal right to live and survive.

People keep complaining about Street dogs and keep sending unkind messages that these dogs be thrown out is the colony and a few even go the extent of proposing killing these speechless dogs. What can be more cruel than this? Street dogs have the Survival instincts and live a fugal life. There are always some kind residents who take care of these dogs, feed them, get them neutered and take care of their health. Only a little caring given to them gets you loads of pure love from these dogs who wait for you and welcome you with so much warmth and love which even your own children will not give you. That’s the kind of love you get out of your small act of kindness.

Ankur Chopra is also such an animal lover in B4 block who takes care of a lot of Street dogs and take very good care of them. Recently a street dog in the block died his natural death at night. Since it is difficult to dispose the body at night Ankur picked up the dog , covered him with a white sheet and respectfully kept him on a park bench. Next day when i saw two men digging the beds in the colony park i enquired about what they were doing and that’s when Ankur came ahead and told me that he will bury the dog there. I told Ankur that i have informed SDMC and they will come to pick up the dog. And that’s when he gave me a very touching reply, ” ma’ am the SDMC will throw the dog in the garbage. I want to give a respectful farewell to this dog”. And this brought tears in my eyes and i allowed him to carry out the burial in a vacant plot close by. We all must learn to give respect to all the creatures and be kind and compassionate to these speechless animals. My salute to kind people like Ankur.
