E Block’s Mehndi and Karwah Chauth is a much-awaited and talked-about event. This year was no different, and ladies turned up in large numbers. Mehndi was a two-day affair stretching deep into the night till 1:00 am.
On Karwah Chauth day the park was beautifully decorated with Flowers for the Pooja, due to confusion of time the Pooja was preponed to 3:00 pm at the request of some ladies, though the majority came at their convenience. Ladies came in their finest jewelry & sarees, making it a sight to behold, and the park was a riot of colour. The 1st round got underway, and as the ladies kept coming, 5 rounds of puja were performed till after 5.30 pm.
E-Block’s Karwah Chauth Event’s grandeur is known in neighbouring colonies, and ladies invite their friends from far-off colonies to partake in puja, where over 250 ladies congregate. In an innovative gesture, the RWS Management had set up a photo wall where a professional photographer clicked photographs of couples, and a 6″ X 8″ print nicely framed was instantly given as a memorable gift sponsored by Indus Homes to all the members. The atmosphere was electric. Kudos to the RWS Organising committee for living up to the expectations of all present.
