The Cultural Committee organized a joyous and eco-friendly Dussehra celebration at the football ground and badminton court. Effigy burning happened with a twist, responding to kid’s demands. It was burnt without any crackers , minimizing the pollution. There were stalls that offered homemade treats: dal pakwan, dosa, savories, bakery items, kheer, and more. Kids sold popcorn and Bhel Puri with their grannies. Evening tea brought everyone together.
Additionally, two stalls deserve special recognition, one was Declutter by Kiran: promoting the concept and how to reuse things. Another was the – Green Warriors by Nirmala ji & Jaishankar ji selling compost and plants grown in the Kachnar Marg green belt, a sustainable project under their dedicated care.
Ravan Dahan took place around 6:30 pm where the Effigy was burnt with simulated crackers.
Residents enjoyed the festivities, supported local initiatives, and cherished community bonding.
